Google Squared takes a category and creates a starter 'square' of information, automatically fetching and organizing facts from across the web. This could be used for vocabulary lists (it includes an image and description and you can add custom columns) or other types of research. This tutorial from Melissa Murphy via computers.tutsplus.com walks readers through the process of converting Google Form responses into visualizations. I envision using this tutorial as being a great connection for my preservice students learning to ask effective questions and then using the collected data for an Infographic.

KmlFactBook is a unique site which lets you load data sets from CIA Factbook and WRI Earthtrends into Google Maps and create cool presentations from them. You can view facts such as population of various countries, their GDP, immigration rate and a lot more on Google Maps and on Google Earth. If you would like to view the data offline then you can download it in kml format and open it with the desktop version of Google Earth.

Use the Google Document "Publish to Web" URL to make the document visually appealing. You will paste the URL into the "URL Window" on the main section of the Google Doc Publisher website.

I really like this visual by Sylvia Duckworth of Mark Anderson (@ICTEvangelist) 4 stages of teacher confidence in the use of technology.

If you are not using Kaizena (formerly Voice Comments) to provide feedback to your students via GAFE. My students truly appreciate the audio along with the highlights pointing out the improvements. As a side note, be careful highlighting different locations as you record. When you go to highlight additional areas the audio recording will start over again.

Great tool to make image searching quick.  The Flickr images it pools all come from the Creative Commons area, but I would still check. Draws from wiktionary, flickr, google & yahoo images.  Searched for "dirty" stuff and it wasn't too bad or concerning.
