This new discovery of an open source, cross platform video editor looks promosing.  There is a learning curve with it but a possible option for projects that need time at school and home.

This is a very nice blogging application. Would be nice if it were multiplatform. Microsoft gets a lot of heat for crappy things but this one of the things coming out that is actually fairly good.
