This year's 50 entries are a mix of veterans from years past, fresh picks by our editorial staff and nominations from readers.

Interesting post from a prolific Ed blogger who has always written about Ed and the "bleeding edge" worth following and very readable. This post posits that if we are to introduce a non Americanised version of PBL then we should expect systematic change over a long period of time so that it becomes ingrained in the learning culture of the school. I particularly like this position because it takes into account the longevity of the teachers capacity not only to with stand the change but also to be part of the new paradigm.

Thank you so much for sharing this! As an educator, I always believed that if I posted a picture on the district site and just gave credit to where I got the picture I was clear with copyright. Now I know better. Perhaps you've underwent this experience to help so many others like me to better understand copyright...

I am a teacher blogger from Ireland for the past three years. This is the first of two reflections on what I am at. Teachers considering blogging might find it useful.

I'm more interested in having our students make a mark than get a mark, and so are they. So, lets be genuine with them. Push them to create great stuff about important ideas and students will not only rise to the challenge, they will be able to articulate what they have learned and why it matters. Do this, and don't cheapen it with a mark. Share your descriptive feedback, offer a genuine response. Let them know that when it comes time to write the report card you'll turn the great things they have created into a grade and all they have to do is keep creating things~the wonderful thing about people is we actually do great things when we are given the chance, a purpose, feedback and an audience. After all, look at all of us bloggers.

Technology and teaching - two words that seem to fit together perfectly today for most teachers and learners. So much so that a slew of new blogs have come on board to talk about education technology - or, edTech. This list of the 50 best education technology blogs are not inclusive, as there are so many new blogs available; however, if you look at links provided by many of these blogs to other edTech blogs, you may learn about even more blog that you aren't reading yet.

All about improving upon blogging by connecting to others, tweaking blog appearance, cultivating Personal Learning Network, etc.

We do a crappy job of selling technology. Sure, we are great at convincing ourselves that ed-tech is good. We are great at throwing big parties like NECC and TCEA to convince ourselves that that we are doing the right thing. We read a lot. And we write a lot. We podcast a lot. And we RSS a lot. And we hire each other to speak at each other's conventions and workshops. We have done a great job of convincing ourselves that technology is important. The trouble is, we are not convincing anyone else outside of ourselves.

Great post for bloggers who are stuck!

Corrupted-Files.com offers a service -- recently noted by several academic bloggers who have expressed concern -- that sells students (for only $3.95, soon to go up to $5.95) intentionally corrupted files. Why buy a corrupted file? Here's what the site says: "Step 1: After purchasing a file, rename the file e.g. Mike_Final-Paper. Step 2: E-mail the file to your professor along with your 'here's my assignment' e-mail. Step 3: It will take your professor several hours if not days to notice your file is 'unfortunately' corrupted. Use the time this website just bought you wisely and finish that paper!!!"

Deactivation Of The Google Sites Service Unsolicited redirect to a Google Sites page is a very common cause, right now, for the well known custom domain symptom "Another blog is already hosted at this address". And, it's a reasonably easy symptom to correct.

We are all talking about 21st Century and Web 2.0 tools in the classroom, but I've become a fan of the blog, and I'm new to using them with younger kids.   I am inteterested in finding who my fellow bloggers are and how you are using them with your students.
