Storyboard That For Classroom | Teacher Free Trial - 8 views

  •
Storyboard That is a robust web tool that allows students to create and edit Storyboards. This site is simple to use and allows users to drag and drop stick figures and screen elements, as well as add their own content, to the storyboard time line. Enough tools and features to be really useful and not too many to confuse young users, this is a nice way for students to create storyboards for class projects, videos, or anything else you can think of including comic strips. There is a nice educator portal which has some lesson plans and example student work. Not free, but free trial and reasonably priced for teachers

Learnist | Share what you know - 2 views

  •
Everybody knows enough about some topic - be it English, science, yoga or bourbon - to teach other people about it. And every topic is covered by content scattered around the Web. The idea behind a new site called Learnist is to give everybody a spot to teach through curation. The site, which is also available as an app for iPhone and iPad, features user-created lessons that bring together Web pages, videos, Google Books e-books and other items on a specific topic. At the moment, only a relatively small group of people approved by the site - including some teachers - can create these "learnings," but anyone can check them out. This explains what Diigo does, what the main functions are for the classroom, and that it can be saved in Delicious.  They refer to Delcious as the grandfather of all bookmarking in that it was the first but just bookmarks and collects.  This would allow annotation and collaboration.

Ted ed is going to a powerful resource in my classroom
    • hollandchris

Ted ed is going to be a great tool in helping my students achieve their specified learning goal.  Ted ed will accomplish this by allowing my students to access educational videos from their home, smartphone, or in the computer lab.  This will be so powerful, because of the tools that ted ed supplies the user with think, and dig deeper, and the ability for user created quizzes.  I plan to assign videos for homework and then hold students accountable by tracking their quizzes.

Wikispaces - Wikis for Teachers - 85 views

Wikispaces is a power online collaborative tool.  Giving students the opportunity to collaborate on assignments is something I have been looking to expand on in my lessons.  I want to allow collaborative opportunities for my students, as it is a skill that will be necessary in their post secondary endeavors.  Wikispaces seems to be just what I have been looking for.  Wikispaces will allow for accountable online collaboration that I can easily direct and moderate.
