First Look: Adobe Captivate 5 by Joe Ganci : Learning Solutions Magazine - 10 views

Finally, for Mac now too!... After many weeks of waiting eagerly Adobe Captivate and eLearning Suite users may now download the free trials of Adobe Captivate 5. The release contains many significant enhancements that have Captivate and eLearning Suite users literally chomping at the bit to get their hands on it. You can also download the eLearning Suite here. Mac users are ecstatic as Captivate 5 and eLearning Suite 2 are now both available for the Mac OS, making the products the first major eLearning industry authoring packages to enter full force into support for the Apple Mac OS. Many Mac users have written, called and addressed me in person to wholeheartedly offer both encouragement and enthusiasm as we see Captivate and eLearning Suite move firmly into cross platform eLearning authoring tools. http://blogs.adobe.com/captivate/2010/07/free_downloads_of_adobe_captiv.html

Here's how Adobe Captivate 6 could have been a Game-Changer for mLearning | The mLearni... - 3 views

  • the new Fluid Grid Layout functionality in Dreamweaver
  • Responsive Design is the best way for us in eLearning and mLearning to develop learning experiences once and deploy them everywhere and on any device.
  • Adobe Shadow in my mind is one of the best pieces of technology to have come out from Adobe in recent memories. Shadow allows you to connect multiple devices to your desktop wirelessly and then as you browse pages on your computer, all of you devices display the same page accordingly. I use this all the time to test my Blog on my Mac, iPad, iPhone, Kindle Fire and Droid 2. It’s awesome.

This is probably the best Education Community I have been apart of. There are really great lesson plans from educators all over the world. In addition, there are outstanding professional development opportunities to learn all about Adobe products.

What Is The Future Of Digital Publishing? - Edudemic - 23 views

Leading the charge into the next generation of interactive book design is Robin Mitchell-Cranfield, of Vancouver Film School. I had the pleasure of attending Robin's presentation at Adobe MAX Education Summit as well as speaking with her a bit later at Adobe MAX where she shed some light on what she's working on, why she thinks books could forever change and why tablets have been the impetus for her to get so excited about the future of digital publishing.

Educational Leadership:Teaching Screenagers:Screenagers: Making the Connections - 78 views

  • February 2011 | Volume 68 | Number 5 Teaching Screenagers     Pages 7-7 Screenagers: Making the Connections Marge Scherer "Education has to change. We can't pull kids into learning in school if they are engaged in a different world outside school." "If you don't know how to use technology in class, you are in trouble. But, of course, technology is a double-edged sword. You can use it poorly, or you can use it well." The principals speaking were two of the candidates for the ASCD Outstanding Young Educator Award, which will be presented in March at ASCD's Annual Conference in San Francisco. A group of us were interviewing 13 finalists—both administrators and teachers—over the course of a few weeks, and we were talking to them about their leadership, their creativity, their whole child philosophy, their impact on student achievement, and, of course, their technology use. All the educators spoke to us via Adobe ConnectPro, a two-way technology that allowed us to see, hear, and record them in their schools—whether in New York, Oregon, the Philippines, or places in between—while they viewed us in our meeting room in Alexandria, Virginia.
