People, particularly teenagers, have an almost compulsive reaction to open text messages when their phones beep or buzz. So if you want to quickly deliver an important message to student or parent today, sending a text message is the best way to do it. Managing a list of cell phone numbers can be a daunting task.

I love love love this site freetech4teachers.com and today just got a twitter alert about using group texting programs. Will be looking at inviting my parents and students to opt in, will be exploring both Class Parrot and Kikutext this weekend. Anyone have any experience with either program? This will be the first step at upping the communication between families and the classroom.

I've decided to take my students on a fun-filled blogging journey for the last few weeks of school. In some ways I think I might be crazy trying to do this in such little time, but my guts are telling me to, "Just do it!" I'm glad I listened!
