Bihar's indigenous art form that dates back about 800 years and borrows its proportional figures from Patna Kalam, and its themes of daily life and celebrating festivals from Madhubani, has been reinstated in the commercial mainstream of indigenous art forms, and in doing so, has provided sustainable livelihood to thousands of women.
