Preferred method: E-mail Attachment Download and save the application (Microsoft Word document) to your computer and complete the application. Scan one or two photograph(s) of your garden space and a diagram of your garden's dimensions and layout. Attach the application and the scanned images to an E-mail (address is provided on application) E-mailed applications must be received no later than noon on March 1, 2010.

Grant awards will be up to $1,000 per school and will be awarded to the child nutrition department.  Eligible applicants include schools that are in the National School Breakfast Program. Deadline: December 1, 2009

average daily participation by 50 percent or more by establishing one of the following alternative breakfast service options: Breakfast in the Classroom, Grab ‘n Go Breakfast (served outside the cafeteria), or Breakfast after 1st Period.

educational focus or curricular/program integration nutrition or plant-to-food connections environmental awareness/education entrepreneurship social aspects of gardening such as leadership development, team building, community support, or service-learning.

100 grants are available.
