A new page on the YouTube site describes a "Video Questions Editor Beta," which lets channel owners display multiple-choice questions on top of their videos as they play. The page is pretty blank at the moment, but the beta is up and running for those who opt in. "

Our goal is to provide a fun, safe and interactive environment for children to read and learn about interesting current events. Our  news articles are short, simple and include photos/videos in order to keep children focused and interested.

Place Out Of Time is a simulation of a trial, where students play guests who come from a range of places and times throughout history to discuss some of the great issues of humankind. Our trial takes place (virtually) at the Alhambra Palace in Granada, Spain. Place Out of Time is a writing intensive project for middle and high school students, meant to draw upon their sense of play and the hook of having an audience for their ideas to engage them in putting a twist on the study of history. Student participants and university mentors debate issues and perspectives in character, and move from reading and studying about their characters to a series of opportunities for original research--both historical and creative--as they decide what their character would say about issues that took place in places far distant (in time and geography) from their lives.

As you can see in the video, technology has brought a human element back into the classroom making it more interactive and tuned to specific kids' needs. Why limit this to students? Why not use this model to help improve health outcomes? In fact, we may not have a choice with the ever-increasing shortage of primary care physicians. One can look to what happened after Romneycare was implemented as a preview of what is to come. The shortage of primary care providers only increased.
