When you visit a Web site with a stored user name and password, you can log in simply by clicking the Password Manager button on the address bar, or by pressing Ctrl+Enter

Note that user names and passwords are encrypted on disk. If you want to protect your Password Manager from other users on the same computer by setting a master password

must know the last logged-on password used for this profile, because the passwords are encrypted with the SHA hash of the log-on password, and without that hash, the passwords cannot be decrypted.

If for any reason the passwords in your browser get corrupted, or you accidentally delete them from the password manager, you can now visit my.xmarks.com and use the Restore Passwords feature

if Xmarks prompts you for a password, just make sure that you have checked "Remember Me"

if you ever need to suspend Xmarks temporarily, you can do so by logging out. Just open the Settings dialog and press the "Log out" button.

TwitterGadget account allows you to sign in using a username / pass in places where you are unable to use the "Sign In With Twitter" button (which requires access to Twitter.com).

You will need to be able to sign into TwitterGadget from a computer where you can access Twitter.com in order to create an account with TwitterGadget. Once you create the TwitterGadget account, you can use the username / password anywhere, even on computers without access to Twitter.com.
