Instructions
Choose one of the four games that can be played with this applet:
How Many: Identify how many items or empty squares there are.
Build: Drag a certain number of items to the frame.
Fill: Determine how many items are needed to fill the remaining squares.
Add: Drag items to complete addition problems.
Choosing Play All from the Games menu will randomize which of the four games is played.

There is a free trial version of the materials in the National Library of virtual manipulatives. Math topics Numbers and Operations, Algebra, Geometry, Measurement and Data Analysis & Probablity are covered. I did not come across anything asking for money so I a not certain there is a cost. There are tons of manipulatives to access from each of the above categories. This site is associated with the Uta State University.

This activity is a scaffolded process of working users through the understanding of fractions beginning with how to divide up an item through the creation of fractions. Would be a good IWB activity.
Decimal Squares provides simple games for students to use to develop their math skills. The games are best suited to middle school students, but could be used with upper elementary grades or with high school freshmen.
