Math is Fun has a variety of math topic areas for students K-6.

Looks like an interesting site. Please share with anyone you feel may be interested. This is also another site to share with parents via your teacher web page.

The purpose of this resource is to provide "Just in Time" training through an online interface for K-12 educators based on the National Eductional Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS-T). These standards are the basic technology skills every educator should prossess. In the process, educators will develop their own skills and discuver what studetns need in order to meet the NETS for Students.

This site is really nice. Many of the things we talked about in the grad class are covered here but the really nice thing about this site is that it take the NETS-T that we used and makes a connection to Marzano's 9 (Classroom Instruction that Works) and 21 things. It is really interesting. On the home page check out the two downloads of 21things and Marzano. On the right if you click on any of those categories, tools that can be used are presented. This is definitely one you will want to save in your own diigo library.

this site is a free online listing of grants available for K-12 schools and teachers. Grant Wrangler can be especially helpful as school technology budgets tighten. Grants can be searched by keyword or by deadline. The news bulletins are updated daily and contain direct links to applications that are available online. Teachers and administrators can also subscribe to Grant Wrangler's daily e-mail blast, which lists up-to-date grant opportunities.

Sharing this again as there have been some additions to that that I think will be very helpful for teachers grades K-8.

Teacher Toolbox is an interactive math and reading resource for K-5th grade. There are interactive math applets, math games, free flash cards, interactie whiteboard lessons, reading games stories for kids, professional development resources as well as printables.

The National Science Digital L ibrary is the nation's online libdrary for education and research in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It provides free math lessons and activities aligned with the Math Common Core Standards, as well as STEM-related blogs and other free teacher resources and lesson plan ideas. Targeted for K-12 teachers, higher-education professionals, and librarians, NSDL also provides science literay maps and ITunes multimedia files.

Shedd Aquarium in Chicago has a great collection of interactive learning activities. The activities are categorized according to grade level and vary in format. Some of the interactive activities are like video games (Squish the Fish for 1st graders) while others are more like virtual scavenger hunts (Conservation Investigation). The games and virtual scavenger hunts could easily take students an hour or longer to complete and the students would learn something new throughout the activity. In addition to the interactive activities, Shedd Aquarium provides a host of great Marine Science lesson plans for grades K-12.

Study Ladder is a great resource. There are content categories and within each category there are hundreds and hundreds of activities. Within in content areas activities may also be broken down into grade level. It's Free. Lots of learning activities to choose from. There is an ESL section under the English category.

For each craft, you'll find a detailed materials list, mostly everyday household items, and instructions.

Templates for teachers provides lots of free teacher resources that can be printed. Many of the templates are modifiable and/or printable. There are 100's grids, graphic organizers, hall passes, flash cards, thank you notes, ABC flash cards, handwriting practice forms, DOLCH flash cards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade, plus muchmore.

A new public television show designed to teach children basic financial literacy. It covers personal finance topics, such as credit, saving, budgeting, investing, and charity. Free lesson plans are available online for each show. The program will air on public television stations around the United States.
