Around the world at least one woman in every three has been beaten, coerced into sex, or otherwise abused in her lifetime. Every year, violence in the home and the community devastates the lives of millions of women.

NGO's in Egypt are facing the possibility of prosecution due to new laws passed. The entire human rights movement is being attacked by the Egyptian government.

A female protester at Tahrir Square was subjected to a cruel and humiliating beating. She was knocked unconscious and was continued to be beaten while her bright blue bra was exposed.
