This is a god place to have discussions among Diigo members who are interested in our topics. If we want to center on Diigo as a locale for forming a community around us, we should be getting invitations out (e.g., in our blogs and on our websites, maybe even in email sig's). Perhaps Diigo could help also, seeing that this would amount to a membership drive for them. Then adding some enticing topics here might generate some interest which might lead to others adding topics...

I think it's worth discussing alternatives before we go to those lengths in this environment.
