A start at the understanding of the varying use of the internet by race.

I found this site a few months ago when we discussing this topic. I found it very interesting that there is still a gap between the different races. In reading what the Pew team found and what this one did, it was very interesting.

A US study has indicated that younger internet users are losing interest in blogging and switching to shorter and more mobile forms of communication.

Video chat is an idea that has been around for a while, but not until recently was it actually possible on a large scale. Now people can talk to each other as if they are in the same room through their televisions, and do it everyday if they want to.

"It's not known exactly how much in uncollected taxes is due to states from online sales, but a 2009 study from the University of Tennessee estimated that it could total $10.14 billion this year, assuming total e-commerce sales of $3.49 trillion. Looks like Netflix is expanding by offering original content through their service. This will make them even more competitive with cable TV.

Looks at a piece of legislation being debated right now that is intended to address piracy. "The bill would give the government legal tools to blacklist a "rogue" website from the Internet's Domain Name System, ban credit card companies from processing US payments to the site, and forbid US-based online ad networks from working with the site. It even directs the government to keep a list of suspect sites, even though no evidence has been presented against them in court."

One way that some have tried to deal with piracy is by suing large groups of people that are sharing a file, rather than sue individual people. The problem is that there is a debate on whether it is alright to clump these people into a single case. This article shows that some attorneys have ruled that you may not lump multiple file sharers into a single case, while others have ruled this practice to be fine.
