Press Release - Crown Capital Eco Management Review: Why Skeptics of Global Warming Are... - 0 views

  •
"Climate change is a significant and lasting change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns over periods ranging from decades to millions of years. It may be a change in average weather conditions, or in the distribution of weather around the average conditions. Climate change is caused by factors such as biotic processes, variations in solar radiation received by Earth, plate tectonics, and volcanic eruptions. Certain human activities have also been identified as significant causes of recent climate change, often referred to as "global warming"."

"As we all know earthquake is a catastrophic natural disaster. Most earthquake-related deaths are caused by the collapse of structures and the construction practices play a tremendous role in the death toll of an earthquake. In southern Italy in 1909 more than 100,000 people perished in an earthquake that struck the region. Almost half of the people living in the region of Messina were killed due to the easily collapsible structures that dominated the villages of the region. Though there are some ways to prevent this from happening, it can never be considered as risk avoidance. A larger earthquake that struck San Francisco three years earlier had killed fewer people (about 700) because building construction practices were different type (predominantly wood). Survival rates in the San Francisco earthquake was about 98%, that in the Messina earthquake was between 33% and 45%) (Zebrowski, 1997). Even a moderate rupture beneath a city with structures unprepared for shaking can produce tens of thousands of casualties. Due to this fact, Crown Eco Management determined that safety measures for this could not be compared to fraud prevention. Although probably the most important that we should know, direct shaking effects are not the only hazard associated with earthquakes, other effects such as landslides, liquefaction, and tsunamis have also played important part in destruction produced by earthquakes. Related Legislation | Crown Capital Eco Management Jakarta Indonesia - 0 views

Featuring an authoritative source of legislation across the world that deals with environment preservation through promulgating policies on sanctions, regulations, authorizations and restrictions on natural resources. Asia Asian legislation concerning the environment largely varies due to the wide gaps in local customs that could become challenges, leading them to agree on standard procedures and strengthen ties among each neighboring nation. Regulations also highlights the need for dedicated agencies in each country that will handle emergency scenarios with the notable frequency of natural disasteres in the region as well as issues of climate change. The need for humanitarian organizations for more effective deployment and better coordination with the authorities in conducting relief activities is also included. US United States has specific legislations for each facet of the environment in place that : - limits air pollutants by monitoring emissions of factories and utility plants. - leads probes in discharges of hazardous chemicals or oil and proper cleanup. - closely monitoring pesticides for its possible effects in nature and on people. - manages the distribution and manufacture of chemicals to ensure that their exposure will not cause harm to the environment. - regulates the commercial and individual production of hazardous wastes as well as its proper disposal. - implements clean and safe drinking water policies in conjunction with local water treatment plants and preventing pollution. European Union Europe's environment legislations mainly deal with climate change and the subsequent decrease in biological diversity as socio- economic developments are inevitably dependent on those. Their regulations seek to protect and value life diversity for the coming generations by monitoring its implementation closely.

Crown Capital Eco Management - Flooded summer season, Atlantic Ocean blames - 1 views

  •
Northern Europe picks on the Atlantic Ocean because of its wet summer according to a new study. The rising and falling of ocean temperature or the so called cyclical deception is seen as a major extortion on the weather. The said pattern reported will last long as the Atlantic warming persists. The research was carried out at the University of Reading and is published in the journal Nature Geoscience. The cycle of scheme investigated was known as the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation. This change sees the waters warm or cool over a period of several decades. The researchers compared three periods in this cycle: a warm state from 1931-60, a cool period from 1961-90 and the most recent warm period starting in 1990 and continuing now. The paper notes that conditions in the last warm period in the Atlantic are broadly similar to those pragmatic now. So the study compared weather conditions in Europe during the two warm Atlantic phases with those oppressed in the cool phase. One conclusion is that a warmer-than-usual Atlantic "favors a mild spring (especially April), summer and autumn, in England and across Europe." Another finding - of greatest relevance to the search for a cause of rainy summers - is that the warmth of the ocean also tends to make northern and central Europe abuse than usual. By contrast southern Europe, from Portugal to Turkey, makes victim of far less rain than normal.

Freeport To Restart Indonesia Open-Pit Mining Soon: Minister - 1 views

Crown Capital Management International Relations Deputy Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Susilo Siswo Utomo also said a government probe into the tunnel collapse should end in one or two months. Arizona-based Freeport suspended operations at the world's No. 2 copper mine on May 15, a day after the training tunnel, away from its main operations, fell in on 38 workers. Several investigations are being conducted into the accident at the Grasberg mine complex, including one by the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry and one by Freeport Indonesia using international experts. Susilo told reporters on Monday the open-pit production would restart in the immediate future and there was no reason for it not to resume as the investigation was not being done in the production area. The Grasberg mine normally produces around 220,000 tonnes of concentrated ore a day, with around 140,000 tonnes coming from open-pit mining and 80,000 tonnes from underground operations. Some industry analysts say the mine could face a prolonged closure and further strain relations between Freeport and trade unions after a three-month strike there in late 2011. Freeport Indonesia could not be contacted by telephone on Monday. On Saturday, as many workers carried out maintenance work, a Freeport spokeswoman said any restarting of operations would depend on the outcome of underground safety inspections being carried out by the energy and mineral resources ministry. A union official at Freeport Indonesia reiterated that all investigations into the cause of the collapse must be completed before mining resumes at the Grasberg complex, which also holds the world's largest gold reserves. "The union welcomes the management's decision to resume maintenance activities in Grasberg open-pit mining, but not for production activities," Papua-based union leader Virgo Solos
