Book Cover Design - 0 views

  •
"Don't judge a book by its cover," is more meaningful as a metaphor than its literal meaning. In reality, we love to scan through book covers when we buy a book at the bookstore or online. A good book cover design that intrigues customers with relevant image, colour and design can do everything you want your content inside the book to do - sell more copies.

Exercising Your Imagination: Part 4 - Associated Content - associatedContent.com - 10 views

  •
Imagine the heat from the sun as it pounds down on you, as you lie on a beach towel on a sandy beach.
  •
You feel the little beads of sweat popping up on your scalp. The soreness in your muscles begins to float away on the light breeze and you begin to relax for the first time in weeks.
  •
Get your paper and pen ready. It's time to get your imagination working out! Just like any other muscle in your body, your imagination needs exercise to stay healthy and strong. And, like physical exercise, the more you use your imagination, the easier it will be to keep using it. So how can you give your imagination a workout? One great way is to associate content. This means taking an everyday object and coming up with as many different ideas as you can about what that object could be used for. For example, take a paperclip and visit https://paperhelp.nyc/ for help. It can be used to hold papers together, sure, but it can also be used as a bookmark, a coat hanger, or a paperweight. The sky's the limit! So get started and see how many uses you can come up with for that paperclip. Who knows? You might just surprise yourself.

Have you ever exercised your imagination? What I mean by this is, have you ever gone someplace in your head? Not with your physical body but, with just your mind?

Article in IPS: P. S. O'Hegarty and the Ulster Question - 0 views

  •
Like many of his nationalist contemporaries, the Irish separatist P. S. O'Hegarty (1879-1952) viewed Ulster Unionist resistance to assimilation into a united self-governing Irish nation as the outcome of British policy and politicking in Ireland. In constructing an ethnic and political tie with the Protestant population of north-east Ulster from the 1801 Act of Union, subsequent British governments cultivated a 'false consciousness' among Ulster Unionists to further their political and economic self-interests. This article examines the deficiencies in O'Hegarty's arguments against partition but its main purpose is to highlight that, contrary to his conventional image as a doctrinal nationalist, O'Hegarty's 'Irishness' consisted of a liberal and civic concept of citizenship. It concludes that O'Hegarty's view of nationalism was pluralistic, inclusive and ahead of its time during a period when ethnicity was perceived as a non-negotiable determinant of national identity.

I have but one wish, just one. And that is to lay a kiss on your somber lips. As my eyes stare in yours, I seek to know your internal flame. I see a spark that arouses my curiosity to further explore the inner workings of your mind.

You imagine yourself walking into a white room that has the sound of a waterfall running through it, it calms your senses. As you enter the room, imagine that there's a white fog waist high that disables you from seeing the ground. Although, you have no idea what is on the ground, you're compelled to walk forward; trusting the forces that-be that you will not come to any harm.

When going into your imagination, part of the fun is learning how to use it. The best thing about the imagination is that, it's free! That's right, you can imagine all you want and you don't have to pay anybody, anything!

My Writing Process: My Secrets Exposed! - Associated Content - associatedContent.com - 6 views

  •
Inspiration Is Everywhere When I write, I'll often get ideas anywhere. I've gotten into the habit of taken notebooks and pens with me wherever I go; just in case I get an idea. Most of the time, my writing is like a muscle that I can turn on and off. When it's appropriate, I'll come up with ideas. For example, when I'm sitting at the park while my son plays in the play area.
