Login/Sign-up on AppHQ (ShepHertz developer dashboard) @ http://apphq.shephertz.com From the dashboard, create a new app of type appwarp cloud gaming. Note its keys – you will require them to initialize the SDK in your code. From the dashboard, create a new room with 2 max players. Note its room id – you will require this in your code. Download the code from this repo and open the xcode project Edit GlobalContext.cs and replace the api_key, secret_key and room_id values from steps 3 and 4. Run the project on your device or simulator.

Our javascript SDK uses websocket technology for fast asynchronous communication with other clients through the cloud. This is better as it does away with the inconvenient AJAX polling paradigm and doesn’t require any browser plugin to be installed. Read more benefits about websockets here. In a nutshell, it means your network communication layer is lightweight and fast. Since AppWarp server supports connections from android, ios, wp7, j2me and now websockets – communication is truly cross-platform. This means users playing the browser flavor of your game can interact in real-time even with users who are on the corresponding native flavors. Currently the Javascript SDK supports Firefox and Chrome browsers. We will soon add support for the to be released IE 10 browser.

    "In the 1940s, the French writer Raymond Queneau wrote a jewel of a book called Exercises in Style, featuring 99 renditions of the exact same story, each written in a different style. The story being fairly trivial and always the same, the book highlights form, rather than content; it illustrates how the decisions we make in telling a story affect the perception of that story. Inspired by Queneau, I decided to embark on the project of writing the exact same computational task in as many styles as I have come across over the years. Exercises in Programming Style (#EPSBook) features 33 renditions of a simple computational task -- counting the frequency of words in a given file. All renditions are written in Python. This book is a companion text for code that is publicly available in Github. Software developers with many years of experience may enjoy revisiting familiar programming styles in the broad context of this book and learning about styles that may not be part of their normal repertoire. This book can be used as a textbook for advanced programming courses in Computer Science and Software Engineering programs. Additional teaching materials, such as lecture slides and implementations of each style in other languages, are also available."

At this phase of the Mediator’s lifecycle, it has been registered and its view component and other dependencies have been injected. The onRegister method must be overridden in concrete Mediator classes. Event listeners may be added in other methods as well, including event handler methods that are responding to both framework and view component events.

      note: this is only partially true: if any widget of the view is not included in the "normal" state of the view (cf use of states in flex + usage of "includeIn" component property), then it is null when the onRegister() is called => impossible to register an event listener to it via the eventMap (or any other way)=> we can listen to the view currentStateChange events and register event listeners at that moment, but this is somewhat ugly...(might be more a limitation of Flex than Robotleg, though...)
