Glossologia is a journal of general and historical Greek linguistics, focusing on the synchrony and diachrony of the Greek language, as well as publishing studies on theoretical, applied and cross-linguistic research. The journal accepts articles and book reviews in Greek, English, French and German.
Covering more than 250 pages, with in excess of 2,600 photographs, maps and plans, this website describes over 750 properties, to provide a comprehensive overview of these historic Campanian towns and settlements.
The information on each inscription features an image, the Latin text, an English translation, audio files with the recordings of Latin and English texts, some general information on the chronology and archaeological context, and - as appropriate - some general comment on the historical significance of the inscription. The material is broadly divided into three categories: building inscriptions, altars, and tombstones. The material is ordered according to difficulty and the seminar ends with the discussion of some problematic case-studies from each category.
