      I think we all realize that the last few lines are not accurate for our group. I feel we all now realize that knowing how to use the technology is useless unless you can connect it to the classroom.

"What I say to my students is, 'How can we have that as a high school requirement if we've never walked in their shoes?' We have to take an online class to be in a better position to train our students so they'll be ready for that online experience."

      The class I am teaching in the Spring for Wilson College requires a mix of f2f and online. They use Moodle. I feel that an online experience will be a requirement for every student prior to graduation in the future here in PA.

      I hope so. But, as I travel around the state I'm still seeing schools blocking wikis and blogs - even in IU buildings where the only users are adults! The fear of lawsuits is palpable! What we need is a news-worthy crisis to make us take this seriously.
