Great idea for collaborating and connecting with parents. This video also shows a child who is autistic benefiting from the iPad. I do not recommend this video for sharing because it starts out with a Pantene commercial and then continues to be blurry. However, the idea of using the iPad and apps to connect and communicate with parents a new math curriculum is an innovative use of this technology.

While ideas are primarily discussed in the context of a school library, I think some of the ideas are transferable to a classroom library. The virtual field trips are great resources for any teacher.
