Quora easily allows you or your students to find questions that have already been posed (that is, by individuals who might or might not have any connection to your course). More than likely, responses to those questions will have already been contributed.

As a follow-up to their study on how professors view online learning, Inside Higher Ed partnered with Babson Survey Research Group to explore how college professors and administrators interact with technology. The survey, summarized in Digital Faculty: Professors, Teaching and Technology, posed questions about digital learning content, e-books, social media, communication, learning management software and a variety of other technology-related issues. This site is similar to the Khan Academy, except the video tutorials are made and contributed by a wide variety of individuals. As a result, the quality (and credibility) of some of the videos is questionable, but there are still some useful videos here. 

In the on-going quest for improved learning in large-class settings, an active-learning approach for an introductory physics course yielded mixed results, according to a new report from the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario. Evaluating the Effectiveness of Modified Peer Instruction in Large Introductory Physics Classes examined the use of collaborative, multiple-choice format question (MCFQ)-writing activities for students as a supplement to standard peer instruction methods.

In "hybrid" classes, a significant amount of the course learning activity has been moved online, sometimes making it possible to reduce the amount of time spent in the classroom.
