Great post on Appendix A of the ELA standards, specifically the few pages that outline the keys to CCSS writing standards. Very informative.

This document is definitely worth exploring. the Council of Chief State School Officers has created this list of resources to aid states in implementation efforts. Among the categories included are mathematics, ELA, implementation, and information for parents.

This is a collection that's growing...it offers digital learning projects that are aligned to Math Common Core Standards. Great stuff from the National Science Digital Library.

THIS is must use. Created by CCSS authors. The three sections of the site are titled "steal these tools," "you've got to read this" and "by teachers for teachers." That alone had me running, not walking, to check this site out.

A veritable cornucopia of CCSS resources and information. Bay Shore High School also offers up a model of how a simple wikispaces wiki can make school-wide collaboration a snap.

Great analysis here. Not only suggests tech tools, but quotes the standards to demonstrate their worthiness.

Definitely something to explore...a PDF on helping educators create differentiated reading experiences.

I totally agree with the author's thoughts in this post. We don't need to wait for textbook companies to tell us what or how to teach!

This ASCD article is a lengthy read, but one that's worthwhile. It really gets into the nuts and bolts of the shifts that are going to be required of ELA teachers. There are some big things that are going to change under the Core. This not only details them, but offers suggestions and insight into how to make them happen in your own classroom.

Need to check this out.

Worth exploring for sure.
