len pelletier on 06 May 11I can actually see how we might do this with students' mobile devices. Guilt relief here too :)

Forman Howes on 06 May 11Personally I have had no luck with QR codes, my understanding it that they do not work with iPhone 3G. You need 3GS or later. That being said I think there is some potential here, especially in terms of getting students quickly to sites when you are using some kind of presentation. I think it could also be a tool to teach to kids and get them to use in projects and assignments especially if we start veering away from the traditional type of assignments.

jaimetong on 07 May 11are you serious? Steve Jobs has also banned QR codes?? i haven't used QR codes in my class, but i do like how i can scan one and avoid typing in a url. i mostly find myself scanning QR codes for apps to download. on a related note, google has discontinued QR codes in for google Places... a thing i saw in the states (noticed it in Portland, OR) where businesses would have a sticker in their window. it seemed a bit like yelp.
