Share what you make with the world. I have only explored this site a bit, but it looks like a kids paradise. Rather like pinterest, kids can post projects they've made in photo or short video clip format. Viewers can then give them stickers to rate them. Lots of possibilities on a rainy day at home.

I had never seen this app. It showed up on my reader, and I had to take a look. It works like Free Rice. Planting and caring for trees leads to real trees being planted to reforest several areas in the world. Check it out.

If you are, please take some pictures and post them on your blog (teacher blog or classroom blog - either works fine!) This linky party sounds like a great chance to virtually visit classrooms around the world.

Free Technology for Teachers: Five Tools for Modern Postcard Lessons - 1 views

  •
Yesterday, I found a postcard creation tool and lesson on Read Write Think. The RWT Postcard Creator walks students through the process of addressing, writing, and mailing a postcard. It's a nice little activity, but as I was trying it I couldn't help but wonder how relevant it is to today's students who may go never send a postcard because all of their communications happen digitally.

Web 2.0 Tools in Education Series Social Networking Tools: A Quick Guide Wouldn't it be nice if there was a resource that explained, in detail, everything you needed to know about social networking: what tools were available, how to sign up, getting started, etc.? This is a free resource, however, scribd is a paid site. I could not download the book. Does anyone have scribd?

Educreations - 1 views

  •
Educreations is a community where anyone can teach what they know and learn what they don't. Our software turns any iPad or web browser into a recordable, interactive whiteboard, making it easy for teachers and experts to create engaging video lessons and share them on the web. This tool makes it possible to really delve into a student's thinking/problem solving process. Looks interesting.
