(2) If the Elks want to attract millennials, step #1 is to REQUIRE EVERY LODGE to post full and complete information on their pages at www.elks.org, and then keep it absolutely current and up to date.
Odd.. I wonder if the news of this questionable decision on elks.org caused someone to rethink the closing. If one checks quidestar for the lodge's financials one would see that they were in above average shape.
Losing $73,000 is a lot so that is obviously a concern. Still, sometimes these 'special representatives' are not very people friendly. I've know a few who seem to get these high autocratic positions in the Elks and they abuse their power. Let's hope that is not the case either.
This lodge was given the bowling equipment by a private operator who went out of business. It would be cool if they could find a way to make it work in their lodge. I wish our lodge had room for a bowling center. That's lots of fun.
