Wer seit dem Start von Amazon USA ein gedrucktes Buch beim Onliner erworben hat, kann die digitale Version (sofern angeboten) zu einem vergünstigten Preis dazukaufen.Die Digitalausgaben kosten in diesem Fall – wie angekündigt – zwischen 0,99 und 2,99 Dollar. Einige Ausgaben werden auch kostenlos angeboten. Interessierten Kunden des Onliners werden mögliche Match-Titel  – basierend auf den bisherigen Einkäufen – nach Login auf der entsprechenden Seite automatisch aufgelistet.Angekündigt wurde das Programm im September mit 10.000 Titeln, inzwischen sind laut Amazon 70.000 Matchbooks verfügbar, u.a. von bekannten Verlagen wie HarperCollins, Macmillan, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Wiley, Marvel. Auch die Titel von Amazon Publishing sowie „tausende Werke“ der Selfpublisher von Kindle Direct Publishing seien verfügbar. Laut „GigaOm“ haben die meisten Großverlage allerdings nur wenige Titel freigegeben; eine Ausnahme sei HarperCollins mit über 9.000 Titeln.
