    Staffel 3

Have you ever flown on a 787 Jet and thought it was the best flight ever? That is because it is one of Boeing's many favorable aerial vehicles that are sold and used globally. With everything they make, Boeing is one of the wisest investment choices available across the globe. They are great at commercial jets with the newest technology. Everyday, new ideas are made for new planes. In their military division, the cutting-edge of smart munitions systems are used in combination with the latest and greatest bombers and fighters. Some of the oldest bombers that they made are still in use today. Last but not least, who could forget the man who started it all in 1916, William Boeing? Most everything in Boeing can be traced back to him. Because of the size of Boeing, they are able to do everything that they do. They did have a little trouble when they started when WWI ended. There was not as much need for planes in that time, but now they are in demand. With their advancing technology, keeping up with the needs for the modern day is a zephyr.
Boeing's commercial division is one of the finest in the world. They even made the Air Force One out of a modified 747 so as to meet the requirements (Boeing.com page 1). Although, the original purpose
of Boeing wasn't to make the most comfortable jet they could. "William Boeing and Conrad Westervelt believed they could build a better airplane than the Martin floatplane"(Historylink.org page 1). Eventually, Boeing grew larger and became a global corporation. It's unfathomable how much they produce. There are more than 12,100 Boeing commercial jetliners in service, flying passengers and freight more efficiently than competing models in the market" (Boeing page 1). For a global corporation, that doesn't sound like that much, although, airplanes can't be made on a conveyer belt. That is a pretty big number. Boeing also uses business jets in their fleet of planes. They are meant to be like an office in the sky. The quality of inside of planes matters too. One of their modern day planes can seat over 500 people (Boeing.com page 1) That's a pretty big plane. Impressively, it is made to fly. That just goes to show the effort that Boeing puts into these things.
The military division at Boeing is what supplies our forces with the aerial vehicles that they use every day. "Boeing's Global Strike organization answers emerging requirements in the Department of Defense for systems capable of projecting global power. Boeing's strike fighters and attack helicopters are part of the Global Strike organization" (Boeing page 1). One of the most successful parts of Boeing are the unmanned vehicles. The MUAS division creates the most advanced unmanned technology for air, sea, and land (Boeing.com page 1). What defines Boeing currently are the bombers. Since WWII, these bombers have been taking the fight and ordnance to the enemy. Some of the most remarkable bombers are the B-52 for its payload, the B-2 for its incredible stealth capabilities, and the B-29 for dropping the bomb on Hiroshima. The B-52 was released in 1954 and is still in service today. It is also widely used. Boeing also makes their bombers able to go great distances. "Boeing Military Aircraft's Mobility division is an industry leader in the design, development and manufacture of innovative military aircraft and mobility solutions" (Boeing page 1). This is some of the most innovative technology in the world. The B-2 is undetectable by radar at any time of day. It can get in and out without any detection what so ever. That's stealthy. All of that and they still have money for more.
William E. Boeing was a genius. He was the one who stared it all and gave it the name. Surprisingly, after graduating Yale University, he started a lumber company (Allstar.FIU page 1). Eventually, he met up with a man named Conrad Westervelt. Westervelt wasn't actually with William when Boeing was made. He worked for the military and got relocated before things took off. One of the reasons William started Boeing because it was WWI and he strongly believed in aeroplane defense. During that time period, he flew over an American football game and dropped fake-wooden bombs that said people should be ready to defend themselves (Historylink.org page 1). Actually, the only reason William was into planes was because he went to a flight class and was hooked. When he finally did make Boeing, he was turned down by the military, but he did make some of the first commercial messenger planes. They revolutionized the way letters and packages were sent. Along the way, they broke some altitude and distance records that seemed impossible. This basically set the standard for Boeing.
In conclusion, Boeing is a great place for manufacturing and such. The commercial jets are luxurious and quite nice for any travel need. So many jets and all made by Boeing. The military is so advanced that tons of vehicles don't need pilots. Even Bombers that are decades old are still in service today. The newest are the latest and greatest in stealth and ordnance. There's also William Boeing who made it all happen. Conrad Westervelt also had a share. There's just no way Boeing can be beat.
