Los teléfonos móviles se están convirtiendo en dispositivos que ofrecen funcionalidades útiles para el aprendizaje ya que la mayoría de los teléfonos actuales permiten tomar fotografías, enviar mensajes de texto, navegar por Internet y capturar y decodificar códigos QR. Las actividades de aprendizaje en las que se utilizan dispositivos móviles posibilitan el aprendizaje dentro y fuera del aula, más allá del tiempo y el lugar. Según Suzie Boss y Jane Krauss, "tener en cualquier momento y en todo lugar acceso a información, a herramientas de productividad basadas en la Web y a múltiples opciones de comunicación, es especialmente apropiado para el aprendizaje por proyectos". Autor: Juan Carlos López García Cuándo utilizar Códigos QR en procesos educativos Inicialmente, el uso de Códigos QR en procesos educativos fue muy limitada, debido a la baja disponibilidad de dispositivos móviles que pudieran capturar, decodificar su información y acceder a Internet de manera inalámbrica. Sin embargo, este panorama viene cambiando muy rápidamente. A finales de 2015, se espera que casi la mitad de los teléfonos celulares en el mundo sean "inteligentes". Los docentes pueden utilizar Códigos QR para: Dirigir a sus estudiantes a sitios Web específicos que complementen la información que se está mostrando en el tablero. Encaminar a los estudiantes hacia canales RSS o Podcasts que amplíen la información de los cursos. Durante la clase, hacer preguntas a los estudiantes y proyectar en el tablero con varias opciones de respuesta en forma de códigos QR. Publicar tareas, documentos complementarios, etc. Proveer acceso rápido a diferentes tipos de contenidos en estaciones de aprendizaje. Hace un rato estaba leyendo esta entrada en el blog Educational Technology and Mobile Learning sobre Apps gratuitas para Android para aprender inglés. Concretamente, ofrece 15 apps gratuitas para que cualquiera que desee aprender inglés pueda usar en su aprendizaje; son muy variadas y se pueden utilizar para diferentes destrezas, como la comprensión y la expresión oral, además de para trabajar contenidos léxicos y gramaticales, como las question tags o los verbos frasales.

Les damos la bienvenida a EDUNOVATIC2019, la cuarta edición del Congreso Virtual Internacional sobre Educación, Innovación y TIC, organizado por REDINE -Red de Investigación e Innovación Educativa. Agradecemos a todos los participantes que han depositado su confianza participando en las anteriores ediciones del Congreso, y que con sus aportaciones contribuyen a la mejora del conocimiento mediante el intercambio de interesantes proyectos, programas e investigaciones que se encuentran disponibles en abierto en las Actas de EDUNOVATIC. Además, de entre todos los trabajos aceptados en la tercera edición del Congreso, se realizó una compleja selección que culminó en la publicación del libro Research, technology and best practices in education. En esta cuarta edición de EDUNOVATIC deseamos continuar ofreciendo una plataforma virtual efectiva para el intercambio de nuevas ideas, aplicaciones y experiencias, entre profesionales preocupados por una educación innovadora y de calidad. Esperamos que este congreso aporte contribuciones significativas en el campo de la educación, la innovación y las TIC. Con la inscripción al congreso podrá presentar hasta dos trabajos en formato comunicación completa, sólo resumen o póster, y recibirá los certificados digitales correspondientes (participación y/o asistencia). Los trabajos pasarán por un proceso de revisión y serán publicados en un libro de Actas con ISBN. Además, de entre todas las contribuciones presentadas, el Comité Organizador realizará una selección e invitará a sus autores a publicar un nuevo trabajo como capítulo de libro, para ser publicado como parte de un volumen editado en acceso abierto por la editorial Adaya Press y sin coste adicional para los autores. "En una charla que presentó en Denver, Colorado, el 28 de marzo de 1998, titulada Five Things We Need to Know About Technological Change, propuso cinco cosas que necesitamos saber acerca de cualquier cambio tecnológico. "MapMap is a free, open source software for projection mapping aimed at artists and small teams. Its intuitive interface facilitates learning and promotes artistic expression. This software is available on Windows, OSX, and Linux. MapMap gives users the ability to projection map on any surface of choice. Mapmap takes media sources and gives users the ability to manipulate the media into different positions and shapes. Media sources can come from any various accepted media formats. With an easy to understand interface, new users can get started in minutes. Projection mapping, also known as video mapping and spatial augmented reality, is a projection technology used to turn objects, often irregularly shaped, into a display surface for video projection. These objects may be complex industrial landscapes, such as buildings. By using specialized software, a two or three dimensional object is spatially mapped on the virtual program which mimics the real environment it is to be projected on. The software can interact with a projector to fit any desired image onto the surface of that object. This technique is used by artists and advertisers alike who can add extra dimensions, optical illusions, and notions of movement onto previously static objects. The video is commonly combined with, or triggered by, audio to create an audio-visual narrative."

"Our core ecological problem is not climate change. It is overshoot, of which global warming is a symptom. Overshoot is a systemic issue. Until we understand and address this systemic imbalance, symptomatic treatment (doing what we can to reverse pollution dilemmas like climate change, trying to save threatened species, and hoping to feed a burgeoning population with genetically modified crops) will constitute an endlessly frustrating round of stopgap measures that are ultimately destined to fail."
