Galileans - The meaning here is that these were not "educated" people like the Romans or Greeks.

Not sure about this. Why would the non-believing crowd think that they were drunk? Yes, they were probably in the middle of a feast and wine was available, but it was only 9am. What about their actions made the non-believing crowd think that they were drunk.

It may have been because they heard so many languages all at once and each only understood his own native toungue. So the sound in general may have been like babeling (although the foreigners clearly understood the message in their own language).

The Jews in Jerusalem were not there to party. They were devout people (men?)

It seems from verse 2 that this event was not at the temple but at a house so there may well have been women and children in the crowd as well as men. Most likly- in that culture and the crowd being "devout" - the women & children would be quiet and respectful in public.

Again, this was a loud sound... a comotion. The Holy Spirit had made His presence known.

As throughout the accounts given to us in scripture - here again, the Lord honored and confirmed His Word using these supernatural events at the initialization of His church -the body of Christ!

In the greek we have the word....ὀπτάνομαι, ὄπτομαι optanomai optomai op-tan'-om-ahee, op'-tom-ahee....which means.... In the King James version this reads...unto them,...the greek word - αὐτός autos ow-tos'...is used here, meaning.... From the particle αὖ au (perhaps akin to the base of G109 through the idea of a baffling wind; backward); the reflexive pronoun self, used (alone or in the compound of G1438) of the third person, and (with the proper personal pronoun) of the other persons: - her, it (-self), one, the other, (mine) own, said, ([self-], the) same, ([him-, my-, thy-]) self, [your-] selves, she, that, their (-s), them ([-selves]), there [-at, -by, -in, -into, -of, -on, -with], they, (these) things, this (man), those, together, very, which.
