Japanese auto major,Honda has unveiled a new Jazz-based crossover concept at the ongoing 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit - one that will soon make way for production version pitting against the Ford Ecosports ,Renault Duster Chevrolet Trax, Peugeot 2008 and many others that are still under development. The Urban SUV Concept is a concept vehicle for a global model.
This model features sporty and dynamic design unique to an SUV, while also offering a spacious cabin realized by the Honda-original center-tank layout with high functionality. The exterior design was developed featuring the sharp and sporty character lines of a coupe while maintaining the dynamism of a crossover model to express an emotional and sensual design. The all-new compact SUV model based on this concept will go on sale in Japan by the end of 2013, followed by sequential introductions in other countries around the world. In North America, Honda plans to begin production of the compact SUV at the new plant in Mexico, which will become operational in spring 2014, and begin sales in the U.S. before the end of 2014.
At 4.3 meters, the new Urban SUV concept is about 15cm longer than the Jazz and around 21cm shorter than the CR-V. The concept looks proportionate and stunning with coupe lines and hidden rear-door handles. Honda design philosophy is evident in the concept; the front fascia resembles the current generation Accord and the CR-V.
Featuring Earth Dreams Technology, Honda's next generation powertrain series that greatly enhances both driving performance and fuel efficiency at a high level, the all-new compact SUV will be available with three types of powertrains - gasoline, hybrid and diesel - evolving a product lineup which accommodates the unique characteristics of each region on a global basis.
Honda plans to sell more than 1.5 million units annually of the three "Global Compact Series" models, namely the Fit, the City and the all-new
Mahindra & Mahindra that launched the all new Verito in India in the last quarter of 2012, is now all set to launch the sub-4 metre version of the same car, which will compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Tata Indigo eCS and other compact sedans. The Verito CS which has been doing test runs in India for quite sometime now, has been spotted yet again in Nashik by Auto Adrenaline, and the pictures have received the mixed reviews from the viewers on social media, some liked it, some didn't, and some like us preferred to wait until the official images are out.
But one thing that came as a shocker for us is the fact that the new set of pictures caught by Auto Adrenaline is different in rear design to the previously caught spy pictures of the same car. The car looks more of a notchback than a regular compact sedan, so whether the car would come in this version or the other caught previously, is still a mystery. The design would remind you of cars like Fiat Palio, Hyundai Accent Viva and other notchbacks.
In our last interview with Mr Arun Malhotra, Chief Sales & Customer Care Officer, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra, he revealed that the vehicle would be launched by March 2013. So, we are a few weeks away to get the much awaited Verito compact sedan at M&M showrooms. The car has remained almost the same, it's just the boot has been added, means no compromise in the spaciousness of the vehicle, which is one of the best features with the new Verito.
Having sub 4-metre in length, the Vertio CS becomes eligible for the excise duty benefits, which suggests the car to become so competitive in price. Since Mahindra & Mahindra doesn't have any small petrol engine at the moment, so the car will be available in diesel only. The diesel engine is the same 1.5-litre k9k diesel that does its duty to the existing Verito as well, hence mileage too should be equal to that of the Verito. The full fledged Verito sedan is 4247mm in length with t

The Endeavour will soon get an all new face, which looks more muscular. The SUV has been tarted up in every way to make it more capable off-road.The current Ford Endeavour though still highly accomplished in its true-blue SUV avatar, has to turn on a new leaf in order to fight the Fortuner. Toyota recently gave its cash cow a facelift and that has pushed sales even more also the arrival of the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport has not exactly helped matters. What you see here is the all new Endeavour and by all new we really mean it. It is also larger and will offer more space inside. Inside, an all new dash will greet you. The instrument panel is redone and controls added on the new steering wheel. The Endeavour is based on the Ranger pick-up sold elsewhere and recently a new one was launched in Thailand so the SUV version is sure to come soon.
The 2.5 and 3-litre diesel engines will be retained, albeit retuned. Automatic transmission and 4×2 versions too will remain in the portfolio.
The big change as you can see is the looks, as it creates a bold and purposeful presence, with a fresh, contemporary exterior design that exudes the famous Built Ford Tough personality. Taut, toned muscularity yet it also communicates a transformed, more sophisticated and refined style that appeals to many. Inside too its all new and is in complete contrast to the current Endeavor. Modern styling and a plush look with new features, this new Endeavour has it all. Expect it to be spacious too. Also will be seen is the new 2.2-litre Ford Duratorq TDCi 150 PS diesel engine with an impressive 375 Nm of available torque. The new Endeavour is bigger and better than before and Ford might price it a little higher but that will not stop this SUV to give its rivals nightmares
