Just Beam It is a service for quickly and easily sharing files with your colleagues. To use the service just visit Justbeamit.com and drag a file from your desktop to the Just Beam It transfer box. After dragging your file, Just Beam It generates an unique url for your file. Give that link to the person or people you want to be able to download your files. Just Beam It supports files up to 2GB. audiobooks which sink to the text of the book. The audiobooks are read by individuals. Most of the classic audiobooks are either free or very inexpensive. The recording is quite good and it synchronizes very nicely with text. It does not highlight the words as it reads but it will automatically turn pages when you get to the end of the page.

Dollar Scan;  send them a book and they will scan it for $1 per 100 pages.  They OCR and send it back to you as a PDF file. It will be interesting to find out more about graphics and since they OCR the files, if they can send it back as text for screen readers.

Springpad gives you a place to quickly and easily save anything you want to remember. Take a note, create a task, scan a product barcode and look up the book your friend mentioned. The best part is that no matter where you are, Springpad is there with you to make sure you don't forget something worth remembering. PhotoPin is new search engine for Creative Commons images. It has a very nice interface, and I especially like it because you not only get the photos, but it also gives you the exact attribution to copy and paste. Larry Ferlazzo

The Alphabetimals characters can spell out any word that you would like. Just type in the word and it will be printed for you., Alphabetimals also offers free printable flashcards, an alphabet poster, and alphabet coloring pages. caution you can also use it to have it made onto stuff.

ssay Map is one of my favourite web tools that I have been repeatedly recommending for teachers. Essay Map, as its name indicates, is a tool that helps students with their essay writings. It is an interactive graphic organizer that provides students with a step by step guidance through the process of developing a robust outline to their essays. Having a clear and well-built outline is definitely a pre-requisite for good expository writing. It gives students' writings focus and coherence needed for developing cogent arguments. Essay Map is ideal for that.

9. Skimzee - Summarize The Web Skimzee is a Chrome extension we should have covered earlier because it could have given your online reading a boost. It tackles information overload by combining web page summarization with social media search and web feed aggregation. You can control the level of summarization in Skimzee with a slider on the app's interface. The extra information from other sources can help to give the material you are reading more context.

Using Google Docs, create a template that will serve as your daily agenda to be shared with students. Use tables, colors, and images to help organize your subjects or class periods. Place your Google Doc agenda in the "About" section of Google Classroom to be viewed by your students. When students open the Doc, they need to click the Drive icon and Save iit to their own Drive. Every day or week you'll update your shared agenda Doc for your students which will be viewable to them through Google Classroom or Drive. In Google Keep (keep.google.com) a new note needs to be made for each student. This note will be shared between you and your student so it doesn't matter if you create it or the student creates their own.

a new cloud storage system to share files. similiar to drop box, where people can share files. you can also search within files. It will be linkied to your Google docs. 5K are free and you can pay to upgrade. It is not available for everyone yet.

Qyiuck Note, an Android app for taking nots, at this point it does not syncy to the cloud but there is indication that it will soon

Easy QR is a tool for you to generate and scan QR code. You can generate QR code from your contact list or any information you input. After that, you can share it with your friends by email. If your friends also have Easy QR, they can easily scan the code with it. Easy QR will help you to save them into you contact list.
