¿Cuáles son los aceites esenciales contra-indicados? Los aceites esenciales ricos en fenoles (son dermocáusticos), en cetonas (son neurotóxicos), irritantes para la piel o fotosensibilizadores: Orégano compacto (origanum compactum) Ajedrea (satureja montana) Tomillo a timol (thymus vulgaris quimiotipo timol) Canelas (cinnamomun cassia, cinnamomum zeilanicum, cinnamomum verum) Las mentas (mentha piperita, mentha arvenvis, mentha spicata) Romero alcanfor (rosmarinus officinalis quimiotipo alcanfor) Romero verbenona (rosmarinus officinalis quimiotipo verbenona) Salvia oficinal (salvia officinalis) Hisopo (hisopus officinalis) Anis estrellado (illicium verum) Eucalipto globulo (eucalyptus globulus), eucalipto mentolado (eucalyptus dives), eucalipto polibractea (eucalyptus polybractea). En caso de querer usar eucalipto, el único apto para los niños es el eucalipto radiata. Esencias de cítricos (limón, mandarina, bergamota, pomelo, naranja dulce…) Estos son los principales, pero ante la duda hay que pedir consejo a un profesional o bien consultar algún libro de referencia en aromaterapia.

Linen-Freshening Spray   Excerpted with permission from The Joy of Green Cleaning  1 cup vodka 1 cup distilled water 16 drops of lavender essential oil Mix the ingredients and put into a spray bottle. Spray directly onto towels, sheets and pillows.

Simple Air Freshener  4 drops essential oil of white thyme6 drops essential oil of tea tree8 drops essential oil of clove2 teaspoons 190-proof alcohol    Filtered or distilled water 1. In a glass measuring cup, stir the oils into the alcohol. If the oils do not dissolve in the alcohol completely, add another teaspoon of alcohol. Add water to the 1/2-cup line. Pour the solution into a glass bottle with a spray nozzle. 2. To use, spray into the air, avoiding people’s faces. 

tea tree oil! I mix one ounce of aloe vera gel with two drops of essential tea tree oil for an effective spot treatment for blemishes.
