GarageBand '11: Import an audio file - 0 views

  •
How to import audio files into a GarageBand project. Very simple directions from Apple's website.
  •
One caveat with GarageBand.....you can't open project files on IPad after creating on Mac and vice-versa. They have to be converted to audio. Apple Forums state "not yet supported" . You can use file sharing on ITunes, but sometimes it messes up the file.

How to Play High Notes On the Trumpet! - 0 views

  •
This is a better video on how to play higher notes on trumpet. The teacher gives a similar method as the other video i posted, but goes more in depth and why you should do what he says. There isn't much left to the imagination, and he doesn't waste time going through the entire exercise. Instead he starts the exercise off so that the viewer knows what to do, then demonstrates the higher register so that the viewer has a good idea of what to aim at.

Instrumental fish is a fun, handmade game! This idea came to me from an awesome music teacher in a neighboring district. The materials needed are: a poster board pond, laminated fish with instruments on one side and a magnet on the other, and fishing poles with magnets attached to the line.

How to Play Dynamics on the Violin Tutorial - 0 views

  •
I think she does a good job of explaining and demonstrating how to vary dynamics on the violin. The only negative is she has a tendency to over explain, but it is still a great learning tool and some beginners may need the over explanation.
