For our final "Maldives Southern " itinerary, touring around Gaafu Atoll for the 2012 season, we had a select number of ten guests join the S/Y Maldives Siren escorted by Ethan Gordon for a photography workshop. The divers hailed from the United States, South Africa, Australia and our Honeymooners Stuart and Becky from the UK, via Thailand.

Our 7 day cruise started on the 28th of March and we left Puerto Princessa in the afternoon on our 40m long luxurious Pinisi Schooner "Philippine Siren ". We arrived at Tubbataha National Park the following morning, and all divers were excited to get in the water, conducting our first dive at "Malayan Wreck" located at the North Atoll.

The 34 metre S/Y Oriental Siren is built from the finest Asian teak and ironwood. She is a traditional twin mast junk, rigged with traditional style sails that are both functional and beautiful. Thus she has been custom-made with all the luxury facilities for the modern diver.

The 40 metre S/Y Indo Siren is now the newest member of our fleet, launched in April 2011. She has the same specifications as her sister, the S/Y Philippine Siren. The cabins offer flexibility and can be used as twin or double bedded rooms. The dining area is very spacious offering a great setting for all your meals.

Armed with kilos of overweight luggage and cumulatively more than a century of dive experience, our eager underwater digital SLR photographers arrived onboard the SY Indo Siren raring to capture the beauty of Raja Ampat in RAW images.
