This is showing that more people are beginning to own a smartphone which could be that people are beginning to move away from the computer and start doing everyday tasks on their phone, with Google's Android operating system being the most popular at the moment

Researchers have created a new keyboard layout which they claim makes "thumb-typing" faster on touchscreen devices such as tablets and large smartphones. Dr Per Ola Kristensson, from St Andrews University, said traditional Qwerty keyboards had trapped users in "suboptimal text entry interfaces". The new design has been dubbed KALQ, after the order of keys on one line.

The flagship device - the Lumia 920 - features wireless charging and a "PureView" camera which the mobile firm said offered better video and still images than rival smartphones.
