I created Quetzalcoatl Blossom Variation 8 with various filtering, layering, and color enhancement effects in Photoshop, including among others the KPT filter, and fractal generator, "FraxPlorer". First named, Abstract Image 961, I later renamed it Quetzalcoatl Blossom Variation 8. Through further layering and color effects, I explored this basic image theme in 8 variations. When first gazing upon the finished image, my initial thought was of a large feathery headdress with a Quetzalcoatl style. However, it was more than just a headdress, for a comparable energy up-wells from within the Earth rising into and even infusing the headdress. So with this image I find myself easily imagining a figure in the lotus meditative position through which this energy blossoms from beneath, and fills the headdress. Just like the rest of the series, Quetzalcoatl Blossom Variation 8 is presented here, complete with the digitally embossed Bill M.
