Just like in the past, once again the Muslims killing in Assam is on the rise. A lot of Muslims have been killed by Bodo Tribes in the month of Ramadan and so a lot them are now living in refugee camps where the situation is worse than normal life. This issue has also reminded the Muslim killing in Assam back in the 80s. Bodo organizations and political parties are of the view that this situation is the result of undiminished mass arrival from Bangladesh. But Muslims claim that the people who are being the victim of violence are not immigrants, rather they are originating and living members of the community. The persistent mass arrival has fueled to the fire and it has created dispute between the Bodos and immigrants. Political parties of India also declared the illegal migration as the cause for this violence. In the last days of July, some persons who were riding on the bike killed two Muslims as a result of dispute at a mosque. This incident ignited the killings between the Bodos and Muslims of Bengal. The beginning of the violence was led by the Muslims killing the Bodo villages like Joypur in the district of Kokrajhar. Then Bodos started killing Muslims. Killers are a permanent source of terror for public, police and army as well. Camps have been set up for residence of these Muslims who have been dispatched from their homes. A lot of people have been killed till now including Muslims and Bodos and most of them are Muslims.

Muslim academy was established about a year before with a mission, an aim and a determination that this organization will achieve all its goals and would provide a balanced and neutral platform to all the people around the globe to come and debate about their religion and can do a peaceful dialogue as well with people of other religions. We have to remove misconceptions and we have to narrow down the differences between Islam and the west. Before moving on and elaborating our mission, we as an organization want to thank and appreciate all those people associated with us and who are working wholeheartedly for our aim. Our aim is simple and straight forward and we want all the people to come and participate in our mission, to make our aim successful and moreover to make this cause successful. We should clear one thing as well, that we as an organization is providing a balanced platform and is not targeting or criticizing any religion. We respect every religion and we just want peaceful debates and dialogues so that we can solve our problems and so that we can change perceptions. When we are talking about perceptions, one very important thing is that we shouldn't jump to conclusions and we should not assume or rather presumed things, as it can really make things difficult. An American feels that Muslims are terrorists and they kill innocent people and a Muslim thinks that Americans are cruel people and they disrespect other religions. We should try and understand this that there are good and bad people in every religion and we should not assume things about all others just because of some despicable people. We should spread love, affection, should respect each other feelings and religions, should discuss differences and we can sort out things peacefully.

Divorce in Islam In Islam, Allah has given every Muslim the right to be married and fulfill their needs and duties. Marriage is one of the beautiful things that Allah has bestowed to every Muslim, we the Muslims need to understand and build up a better relationship. In the Quran, there is clearly a mention of how to live life after marriage. But many of the Muslims didn't understand this relationship and broke it by taking a divorce. Divorce in Islam is a concept in which couples separate themselves from each other. In Islam, talak is the word used for divorce. It is an Arabic word which means to set free. It is only in unavoidable circumstances when divorce should be taken. It is the final termination of marriage, cancelling all the legal duties and responsibilities of marriage and dissolving all the bonds of matrimony between the parties. Divorce in Islam is considered a very bad act. Allah has ordered the marriage couples not to take divorce until there is a very specific reason and it cannot be solved. If there is a way in which both can live together again, then they should follow that path. In Islam, the act of divorce should be avoided as much as possible.

It pains me to present this bitter truth but it is widely accepted prevalent that whenever a girl is spotted with hijab in the West, she is immediately taken as an extremist Muslim who has got links with the terrorist groups. This obviously seems so simply stupid and absurd but these are exactly the thoughts that are aroused in the minds of the people in the West. Hence, they will do all in their power to force that woman give up her hijab. The people will tease her even with their looks. Being the odd one out she will be constantly stared upon and will be given grave and alarming looks by everyone as if she is an alien. She will be denied jobs and will have to face immense prejudices and taunting remarks of her instructors as well as class fellows. Hence, the entire world will be made tight upon her and full attempts will be made to bind her in a curfew. What kind of people would do that to a person? Those who are the flag bearers of justice, equality, peace, love, harmony, etiquettes, advancement, and modernity? Those whose educational institutions teach that one should say nothing without solid proof and verification? Those whose educational institutions constantly lecture that no one should be judged on the basis of their looks, attire, faith, religion, ethnicity, nationality, language, and accent? Where goes their justice and equality when they blame every single Muslim to be a terrorist without giving any proof? Where go their laws when they put a Muslim to jail as a 'suspect terrorist' for year and years and then release him/her after him making him/her a complete psychopath as no proof could be found for his/her terrorist activities? Unfortunately, this is a very dismal saga of every Muslim living in the West ever since the incident of September 11 in America.

Zakat is an obligation on every Muslim. It is one of the pillars of Islam. Allah has ordered the entire Muslim Ummah to give Zakat to the poor and the needy, if one is capable of doing so. Amidst all this misery, we cannot help but ask, why? Is it fair that my lovely child who still have not tasted the goodies of life die while those malicious people who killed him run away? Is it fair that a flood comes to drown a group of people while others remain untouched? However, there is a beam of hope that still manages to arise only if we think deeper within ourselves.
