Jaime Soriano on 01 Dec 10"On occasion of the 8th Holstebro Festuge (Festive Week) Odin Teatret organises two different workshops of three weeks 22 May (arrival) - 13 June (departure) 2011 1 - A DANCE OF LOVE - with nobles and workers and 2 - AGELESS LOVE - with masks and humans The two different workshops of three weeks are led by: TAGE LARSEN, AUGUSTO OMOLÚ, JULIA VARLEY of Odin Teatret, Denmark, DEBORAH HUNT of Maskhunt Teatro, Puerto Rico, assisted by LUCIANA BAZZO and ANNA STIGSGAARD. There will be meetings with EUGENO BARBA and the possibility of seeing performances and work demonstrations by ODIN TEATRET (see programme). Since 1989 Odin Teatret organises every two or three years a Festuge (festive week) in its hometown Holstebro. A different title is chosen every time so as to give a theme that is a creative starting point for collaborations throughout the texture of the town. The Festuge sees the participation of all local organisations, associations, institutions, schools, churches, barracks… In 2011 the theme is "Love Stories". Since the Festuge in 2005 Odin Teatret has organised workshops to give participants worldwide the experience of intervening in the community with theatrical activities that transform the daily routine and establish unexpected links, paradoxical situations making visible and extraordinary what belongs to normal everyday life. The participants of both workshops will work together some hours a day to receive basic elements of physical and vocal training, work to create performance material either with masks and puppets or with dance, which will then be assembled in performative sequences to be presented during the Festuge. Then the participants, according to the workshop they have chosen will prepare special events for the town together with Odin Teatret and be able to see other invited guest performances programmed during the Festuge. .
