URI.js - URLs in Javascript - 3 views
-
"URI.js is a javascript library for working with URLs. It offers a "jQuery-style" API (Fluent Interface, Method Chaining) to read and write all regular components and a number of convenience methods like .directory() and .authority(). URI.js offers simple, yet powerful ways of working with query string, has a number of URI-normalization functions and converts relative/absolute paths. While URI.js provides a jQuery plugin. URI.js itself does not rely on jQuery. You don't need jQuery to use URI.js"

Hola!.

Redmine authentication
-
"Gitblit is an open-source, pure Java stack for managing, viewing, and serving Git repositories."
-

CoreOS is Linux for Massive Server Deployments - 2 views
-
"CoreOS is a Linux distribution that has been rearchitected to provide features needed to run modern clustered infrastructure stacks. The strategies and architectures that influence CoreOS allow companies like Google, Facebook and Twitter to run their services at scale with high resilience. We've implemented them correctly so you don't have to endure the slow, learn-as-you-go infrastructure building process. CoreOS can run on your existing hardware or on most cloud providers. Clustering works across platforms, making it easy to migrate parts of your gear over to CoreOS, or to switch cloud providers while running CoreOS."
Consul Introduction - 1 views
-
"Consul has multiple components, but as a whole, it is a tool for discovering and configuring services in your infrastructure. It provides several key features: Service Discovery: Clients of Consul can provide a service, such as api or mysql, and other clients can use Consul to discover providers of a given service. Using either DNS or HTTP, applications can easily find the services they depend upon. Health Checking: Consul clients can provide any number of health checks, either associated with a given service ("is the webserver returning 200 OK"), or with the local node ("is memory utilization below 90%"). This information can be used by an operator to monitor cluster health, and it is used by the service discovery components to route traffic away from unhealthy hosts. Key/Value Store: Applications can make use of Consul's hierarchical key/value store for any number of purposes including: dynamic configuration, feature flagging, coordination, leader election, etc. The simple HTTP API makes it easy to use. Multi Datacenter: Consul supports multiple datacenters out of the box. This means users of Consul do not have to worry about building additional layers of abstraction to grow to multiple regions. Consul is designed to be friendly to both the DevOps community and application developers, making it perfect for modern, elastic infrastructures."
Why Vagrant? - Vagrant Documentation - 3 views

Mientras tanto, en un lado de la brecha: Why Vagrant? Vagrant provides easy to configure, reproducible, and portable work environments built on top of industry-standard technology and controlled by a single consistent workflow to help maximize the productivity and flexibility of you and your team. To achieve its magic, Vagrant stands on the shoulders of giants. Machines are provisioned on top of VirtualBox, VMware, AWS, or any other provider. Then, industry-standard provisioning tools such as shell scripts, Chef, or Puppet, can be used to automatically install and configure software on the machine.
Red Hat Advances Enterprise Virtualization Platform With RHEV 3.4 - 2 views

RHEV and Docker provide fundamentally different use cases, Herold explained. "In fact, we see opportunities for RHEV to run the operating systems, including Atomic Hosts, that ultimately run Docker instances," he said. "Within the oVirt upstream project, we have an initial Docker integration to run Docker instances in VM containers provided by RHEV."
-
-

Google Open Sources Container Management Tool -- Virtualization Review - 1 views
-
"Everything at Google, from Search to Gmail, is packaged and run in a Linux container," explained Eric Brewer, vice president of infrastructure at the Internet search giant, in announcing the open sourcing of Kubernetes. "Each week we launch more than 2 billion container instances across our global data centers, and the power of containers has enabled both more reliable services and higher, more-efficient scalability."
Six Docker services making serious waves - ComputerworldUK.com - 2 views

"Docker is fast becoming one of the hottest technologies under development. Released just a year ago, the open source project for creating virtualised application containers has already caused major cloud players, from Red Hat to Google, to rethink how applications can be delivered, run, and managed, especially in cloud environments."
New Relic Open Sources their Docker Deployment Tool Centurion - 0 views
-
"New Relic open sourced Centurion, a deployment tool for Docker used internally to run their production infrastructure. Centurion takes containers from a Docker registry and runs them on a fleet of hosts with the correct environment variables, host volume mappings, and port mappings, supporting rolling deployments out of the box."

"Hipache (pronounce hɪ'pætʃɪ) is a distributed proxy designed to route high volumes of http and websocket traffic to unusually large numbers of virtual hosts, in a highly dynamic topology where backends are added and removed several times per second. It is particularly well-suited for PaaS (platform-as-a-service) and other environments that are both business-critical and multi-tenant."

networking has greatly improved, and containers can now connect to host network interfaces directly, without the need for bridging on the host operating system
