"ImageTerrier is an open-source, scalable, high-performance search engine platform for content-based image retrieval applications. The ImageTerrier platform provides a comprehensive test-bed for experimenting with image retrieval techniques. The platform incorporates a state-of-the-art implementation of the single-pass indexing technique for constructing inverted indexes and is capable of producing highly compressed index data structures. ImageTerrier is written as an extension to the open-source Terrier test-bed platform for textual information retrieval research."
"Join Elastic developer Nicholas Knize to get an introduction to Elasticsearch's geospatial capabilities. He will give you a whirlwind tour of how to use Elasticsearch to make the most of your geo data and do things like:
Indexing considerations for optimizing geo-point and geo-shape based search
Geo-aggregations and bucket reducers for spatial visualization and analytics
Time-based indexing, aliasing, and percolation for complex space-time querying
But how does Elasticsearch compare to traditional solutions for geospatial search? John Boere, CEO of Cliffhanger Solutions Inc., will share his geospatial search story, giving you insight into their setup, lessons learned, and why they chose to use Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana to help utility companies manage electricity flowing through the power grid - keeping the lights on, literally."
"Splunk Enterprise is the industry-leading platform for operational intelligence. Collect and index any machine data from virtually any source in real time. Search, monitor, analyze and visualize your data to gain new insights and intelligence. Index everything for deep visibility, forensics and troubleshooting. Work smarter as you and your team share searches and add knowledge specific to your organization. Create ad hoc reports to identify trends or prove compliance controls. Create interactive dashboards to monitor for security incidents, service levels and other key performance metrics. Analyze user transactions, customer behavior, machine behavior, security threats and fraudulent activity, all in real time."
"Terrier is a highly flexible, efficient, and effective open source search engine, readily deployable on large-scale collections of documents. Terrier implements state-of-the-art indexing and retrieval functionalities, and provides an ideal platform for the rapid development and evaluation of large-scale retrieval applications."
"Saddle is a data manipulation library for Scala that provides array-backed, indexed, one- and two-dimensional data structures that are judiciously specialized on JVM primitives to avoid the overhead of boxing and unboxing.
Saddle offers vectorized numerical calculations, automatic alignment of data along indices, robustness to missing (N/A) values, and facilities for I/O.
Saddle draws inspiration from several sources, among them the R programming language & statistical environment, the numpy and pandas Python libraries, and the Scala collections library."

Much like Hoogle for Haskell, Scalex lets you find Scala functions quickly.
Names and Types
Searches can be either textual (a list of words), or by type (a type signature) or both.
A search is considered a text search unless it contains a combination of text and symbols, or if it starts with :.
To search for both a type and a name, place a : between them, for example size: List[A] => Int
Example queries
map Search for the text map
list map Search for the text list and the text map
list[a] => (a => boolean) => list[a] Search for the type List[A] => (A => Boolean) => List[A]
: list[a] => a Search for the type List[A] => A
conserve: List[a] => (a => b) => List[b] Search for the text conserve and the type List[A] => (A => B) => List[B]
"Elastic4s is a concise, idiomatic, type safe Scala Client for ElasticSearch. It provides a full Scala DSL to construct your queries and (hopefully!) reducing errors. Due to its typesafe nature Elastic4s is also a good way to learn the options available for any operation, as your IDE can use the type information to show you what methods are available. Elastic4s also allows you to index JSON documents from standard JSON libraries such as Jackson without having to unmarshall."
"Windsurf is a general framework for efficiently processing content-based image queries. With particular emphasis to the region-based paradigm, Windsurf provides an environment where different alternatives of the paradigm can be implemented. This allows such implementations to be compared on a fair basis, from the points of view of both effectiveness and efficiency."
