Interesting topic. What about communication apps created for special services? I need to find a good way to communicate with my inmate friend.

I was in the same boat. Having surfed the Internet, I was lucky to find the contacts of the securus technologies customer service https://securus-technologies.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html It offers incarcerated individual calling options and video connect from anywhere using Apple or Android smartphones, tablets or PCs. I've been using this service for more than three months to get in touch with my cousin. No issues.
