To mark the centenary of the Indian film industry falling May 3, 2012, a fitting tribute will be paid to its legendary founding father, Dhundiraj G. Phalke, famous as Dadasaheb Phalke, an official said here Friday. A full-size wax statue of Dadasaheb Phalke will be created and installed at the Celebrity Wax Museum (CWM) in Lonavala, according to a trustee of the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy.

Amitabh Bachchan has shown signs of improvement, and doctors at the Seven Hills Hospital Friday decided against another surgery on the megastar. "The surgery was supposed to happen but after the check up, doctors decided there is no need of any surgery. He is doing fine," a source told IANS.

The show was inspired by an actual sex worker Alice (name changed), who was rescued by the NGO from GB Road, in the capital.

Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt says his next project "Dangerous Ishq" is being wrongly perceived as a horror film. "'Dangerous Ishq' is 3D. Yes. And it's a mystery set in reincarnations. The media is wrongly reporting it as a horror," Bhatt posted on his Twitter page.

Actors Shabana Azmi and Farooque Sheikh will stage "Tumhari Amrita" in Mumbai and New Delhi, as the popular play completes 20 years since it was staged for the first time. "'Tumhari Amrita' at IHC Delhi on Sunday 26th Feb and Taj Land's End Fort on Monday 27th Feb to mark the twentieth year of the play. Seems unbelievable," Shabana posted on her Twitter page.

Actor John Abraham feels that instead of getting inspired by Hollywood films, Bollywood filmmakers should start adapting stories from books. "Most of the time, in our industry we get a lot of inspiration from other films, especially English films. But I think the best inspiration you can get is out of books," the 39-year-old said here at the launch of the book "In A Bubble of Time."

Filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala has confirmed the news of roping actor Shahid Kapoor for a forthcoming untitled project. However, the 46-year-old filmmaker has dismissed the rumors that he has signed Shahid for their backburner project 'Heer Ranjha', instead he confirmed that the duo would be working in a fresh film. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala who also celebrates his 46th birthday today has confirmed the news of roping in director Imtiaz Ali for his next production venture. Bollywood actor turned filmmaker John Abraham has apparently signed on MTV VJ Ayushmann Khurrana to feature in his production house's debut flick 'Vicky Donor'. The VJ would be playing lead role in the film. Confirming the news from his side, Khurrana reveals that John was looking for a young Punjabi boy to play the role in this film and since Ayushmann hails from Chandigarh and is also a popular face amongst today's youth thanks to the channel M TV; he was selected for the role.
