      This directly relates to site factors because in Shanghai, the land is limited and expensive due to it being a dense urban region. It is cheaper for businesses to establish factories in rural and suburban areas with proximity to junctions and highways. Also, businesses prefer to build horizontally, therefore needing more land area.

The manufacturing costs would be the same, while the U.S. provides proximity to markets, which reduces transportation costs.

In addition, outsourcing causes businesses to become known in the region where products are being manufactured, initiating a closer-linked globe. Globalization promotes the cooperation with other countries to become successful in the world markets.

    This graph portrays the fluctuations in immigration to the United States, starting with 1850 until 2011. There is a dramatic decrease in immigration through the years 1930-1960, for these were the periods of the Great Depression, World War II, and the Cold War with Russia. In addition, there is a decreasing in immigration between the decades of 1990-2000 and 2000-2010 due to the U.S. recession.

This is due to the proximity to Cuba from Florida.The second largest state having Cuban-born residents includes New York because the numerous job opportunities in the city provide attract migrants, therefore "pulling" them in.
