Wow! This site just illustrates all that is available for free. Take a little time and plan a lesson around one of these books. But make no mistake you have to limit your resource and try out everything first. But hey, that is true of all good teaching, don't you think?

I think this is a great source for kids who do not like to read, which there are many.

Trish and all, Thinfinity is the primary site we used this summer in the Internet Safety Course. Thinkfinity is a gift from Verizon. Verizon sponsored a contest with netbook winners in our Catholic Schools. Even more important is that Verizon Foundation supports student scholarships. Our local group of Verizon Pioneers gets credit for everyone who links to Thinkfinity through this address: http://www.thinkfinity.org/home.aspx?source=pioneers It is the same as the one you shared but it tracks useage for pioneer credits. This resource will be invaluable because it is a comprehensive comparison and includes a favorite tool of mine, the podcast. To the tops of my list.

Seldom do I have the time for subscribing to sites that deal with gaming. I love athletics but other kinds of gaming do not appeal. However, last August, I was hospitalized for a stroke and the site you have posted I have joined. The coonection here is that they posted for "why did you join?" an option: "recovery". there has been significant feedback already from medical people that the brain is "plastic" and can regenerate its cells. The other piece, which your website touches on, is that I can train my brain to connect better. I am very grateful you posted a healing tool. I will update you about that part of its efficacy.

This is a New Jersey site which contains a number of online courses, mainly math and science, which use SMART interactive whiteboards. 

I checked a few on this rather extensive list. If rubrics are important in your setting, this site should prove valuable.

iPad apps for Lower Grades and/or Special Education - Also, just check out this Teacher's site

Links to a number of Conceptual Units, especially Literature and media - a number are in IRA's Read Write Think site which also has links to state standards. A work in progress.

A Site worth looking at for Elementary, Special Education, and ELL students. Some of the tools might be a bit pricey. Look at the Blog and seriously think about an RSS feed. The links to resources are awesome.
