I had no idea this was going on in Australia, good for them. 

I'm thinking that these studies are somewhat congruent with the new legalization of marijuana in Colorado. 

Will that really help things? This seems unfair to those who might be using the drugs responsibly and as prescribed. Additionally, the public isn't entirely to be blamed -- these are addictive substances PRESCRIBED BY DOCTORS. They probably aren't as educated or forewarned of the risks, due to social reinforcements and our trust in doctors. 

I wonder...do these cells disappear or decompose? What might the long-term effects of adding such cells do to your body?

This could seriously revolutionize the country's approach to alcoholism. I can see it now, "No need for police to police to give you a pesky DWI, just take a sober-up pill."

Wonder what this does to impact the results. Is NZ television very different from that of other cultures? Would that cause a stronger/less strong correlation?

I find it interesting that they didn't look at what type of shows, specifically.

This is quite vague...there will assuredly be many catastrophes in the universe in the next tens of billions of years...so what?

This article mentions "calculations" and such but doesn't actually explain how scientists drew the conclusion...I'm seriously questioning the credibility of this article.

Question; am I allowed to do a scijourn article on one overarching conclusion that includes multiple recent studies? I'd love to tie this one in with another one I read about calories. 

Very interesting study, and highly relevant to teenagers; would make for good Scijourner article. However, I'm very critical of some of the comments made regarding the implications of the study; correlation does not imply causation.
