'Vande Maataram' is the national song of India is written and composed by Bankim Chandra chatyopadaya in Sanskrit. The slogan "Vande maataram" means Hail to motherland. The National song and National Anthem share the equal status.
In The Union of India The National Pledge is an oath of allegiance. It is commonly recited by Indians in
unison at public events,during school prayers, and on the Independence Day and Republic Day Observance Ceremonies.
The National Pledge was composed in 1962 by "Pydimarri Venkata Subba Rao" in Telgu language.And it first recited at school in "Visakhapatnam" in the year 1963. In 1963 The National pledge is translated into other Indian languages including English.And in the year 1965 on 26th January it is introduced officially to all Indians on The Republic day.
