Are Veterans Getting the Money They Deserve in Latest Budget? - 2 views

  •
Veterans are definitely NOT getting the budget they deserve! My Dad was in the Navy for 22 years and we are now retired with a budget that we cannot live on alone. He has to find a job with little luck and it is a struggle from paycheck to paycheck. I personally think Veterans deserve more retirement money for the years and hard work they've put into this country.

unarmed man gunned down by cop - 2 views

  •
yeah, this story doesn't seem right through and through. What did the man do to provoke the shooting? Could the woman see he was hurt?

This is not right first off 1 shoot was enough, and he was in need of help.He wasn't looking for any trouble
  •
This is absolutely outrageous! I believe that police officers are over armed and they need to be trained correctly. I don't feel bad for the police officer at all, he had no reason to shoot an innocent man. And to think, the football player was transferring from him school in Florida to a school In Charlotte so that he could be with his fiancee. It's just cruel and terrible what our society has come to.
  •
You can never trust anyone anymore. The government is suppose to help benefit and support the people, but they only care about themselves. The people who are suppose to protect us shoot us down in a time of need. We go against one another and fight over unnecessary things. We aren't the Worlds greatest country anymore.
  •
This is crazy. The officer had no reason to shoot that man. He was already hurt, couldn't they tell? Police officers need to know what's right and what's wrong because they obviously don't.

Things like this really upset me because why are we spending so much money on things that aren't successful? I think that only if they do their job should they get paid and not even that much money. Our government spends money so stupidly that I wish people that actually need money could receive it instead of people that aren't even struggling.

Boat sinking in the Mississippi River is discharging oil - 0 views

  •
(CNN) -- A vessel carrying about 100,000 gallons of petroleum products struck a submerged object and was sinking in the Mississippi River on Monday night. Officials closed a section of the river near LeClaire, Iowa, to deal with the oil that was discharging from the towboat, the Coast Guard said.
  •
This shouldn't even be a problem. They should move faster to get the boat out before the oil destroys more ecosystems.

Brazil Elects Non-Metaphorical Clown to Congress - 0 views

  •
Americans may feel that the nation is run by a bunch of clowns in Washington, but millions of citizens in Brazil went to the polls Sunday to elect an actual clown to congress. Francisco Everardo Oliveira Silva - known by the clown name Tiririca, which means "grumpy" - received more than 1.3 million votes, more than double that of the next closest candidate, Reuters reported Monday. Tiririca ran for a congressional seat in Sao Paulo state, the nation's most populous, using the campaign slogan "It can't get any worse." He offered no promises other than reporting back to constituents how their representatives spent their time. "What does a congressman do? The truth is I don't know, but vote for me and I'll tell you," he said in campaign advertisements. Public prosecutors had tried to prevent the clown from running because of "evidence that he is illiterate," Reuters said. Tiririca appeared at public events wearing a blond wig and silly outfit. North Korea's prison camps are wrong. Now with the pictures of the camps and all the witnesses they have and evidence, I would think that would be enough for the United Nations to do something about it.

Obamacare Website Fixed? - 0 views

  •
They say the Obamacare website is now free of bugs that have been plaguing it since the beginning of the site. Some critics still say there are plenty of bugs; but only time will tell to see how fixed this site really is...
  •
I don't believe they've really fixed it, but if they don't get it set up soon, people will have to start paying large fines for the care that they may or may not need at the fault of the government.

We don't need more gun control the original laws are fine.
  •
Enough with Gun control we don't need it.
  •
It's an American right for citizens to have guns.
  •
I'm not sure how I feel. We should be allowed rto have a gun, liscences are pretty smart
  •
gun control won't help anyone honestly. i don't see why he's trying to ban guns so hard. criminals are just gonna stop shooting people because of gun control? A+ thinking.
  •
gun control is not gonna keep illegal guns of the streets.
  •
Gangsters and Hoodlums will still use guns to kill, shoot, rob people i really don't think its going to help.
  •
After reading the article, I don't think these two rules were meant to stop a lot of gun crimes. On the issue of gun violence, I would say that we still need tight regulations of guns. I am less concerned with new gun control laws, and more interested to know how our society can keep guns out of the hands of dangerous criminals and the mentally ill.
