  •
Isn't this lovely? In California, some folks in California who signed up for Obamacare got their personal information (name, phone #, etc.) shared with insurance agents and people like that WITHOUT their consent... Isn't this a breach of privacy? Let's hear what y'all think!

The Time to Limit NSA Snooping Is Now - 0 views

When Congress passed the PATRIOT Act in 2001, it did not intend to authorize the indiscriminate collection of personal information about every American. But that is what Congress will be doing if it renews the law next month without changes aimed at protecting our privacy from an increasingly intrusive national security state.

RE: Eric, Creighton Prep is a private high school so none of the students are 21. This is a really interesting case of your right to privacy. If this were a public high school like ours, I believe the courts would not allow this type of drug/alcohol testing without a suspicion for ALL students. (4th Amendment rights?)

It is not invading our 4th amendment rights because most jobs require drug tests so why cant *Private* School do the same.
  •
I think that this is a good idea if students don't take it they should be kicked out of the school.
  •
i think this is a good idea because you can't really play good when your on drugs and you could really get hurt.

What if the Government Fears Freedom? - 7 views

What if the current massive spying on Americans began with an innocent secret executive order signed by President Reagan in 1986? What if Reagan contemplated that he was only authorizing American spies to spy on foreign spies unlawfully present in the U.S.? What if Reagan knew and respected the history of the Fourth Amendment?

Interesting opinion. This article makes me reflect on that balance between our government keeping us safe and invading our privacy. Strange in a way to think that Americans have been having this battle with our own government since the Revolutionary War!
