4 Reasons Obama's New Dark-Money Rules Won't Stop Dark Money - 0 views

Great article. The amount of $$$ spent to get our politicians into office is spiraling out of control. SuperPACs and "dark money" sources make it impossible to see who the candidates are getting financial support from.

I know there were a lot of things that were against the teen and also against the cop. from what I know, i thought that police and such were supposed to give a warning....and does everyone these days just shoot to kill? Well, anyway, I was not there but I do know that in some situations, it is really hard to think first and act later if your life is in danger. So I don't really know where my thoughts lie with this, there could have been many differnet outcomes though.
  •
It's sad and scary to know that society should have to be like this. And people are so afraid. But I agree with Ladasia why shoot to kill? they could of went about the situation a different way.
  •
after watching the video I think that not only the officer that shot him should get charges but i think that the company that made the toy gun should be sewed since it's required by law to put a orange cap on fake guns.
  •
I don't think it was right to shoot him and kill him. I wish there was another way that people could be arrested or taken down without having to use a gun. There needs to be some kind of way we could shoot something into the person to make them faint or something. So then at least someone wouldn't die, and then they could be taken in for further questioning to the reasoning of why they did what they did. This is a hard one to pick what opinion is right. I'm on both sides.

They should have went for an injuring shot and not a kill one. Maybe this young man would still be alive today.

Its a terrifying to think about what may run through some people's heads.
  •
what has our society came to? what would a person have to do to deserve that? no one does. it's sad.
  •
Re: Spencer. I'm not sure having teachers carrying guns would make students FEEL safer, nor am I convinced that having teachers with guns would actually reduce school violence. I do believe that having a on site police officer or dedicated security person is a good idea.
  •
i just know when i was 12 and 14 i didn't think about killing my teacher...

Times have changed now, when i was 14 i didn't go around thinking about killing people.

Police: Minnesota teen planned school massacre - 10 views

  •
(CNN) -- A teenage boy had a plan. According to authorities in Waseca, Minnesota, John David LaDue, 17, was going to kill his family, start a diversionary fire, set off bombs at an area school, kill the resource officer there and then shoot students.
  •
Oh my God, if the police hadn't been tipped off there may have possibly been the biggest massacre in school history! This boy had a big plan, and I'm really glad it wasn't executed.
  •
Why do people do this? It said he was close to his sister, why kill her?. It's strange that he to idolizes a previous school shooter.

This abuse of power by police officers is just the beginning. It will start at a low level like that and grow until our FBI is arresting people just for suspicion of illegal actions. This needs to be stopped while it's still at a local level.

Hillary Clinton barks like a dog to slam Republicans - CNNPolitics.com - 3 views

  •
Not really. But Clinton told a colorful story on Monday in Reno that ended with the former secretary of state barking like a dog. Clinton was in the middle of a riff about how, in her view, Republicans say things that are not true, when she remembered a radio ad that she said ran in rural Arkansas while her husband, Bill Clinton, was running for office.

Texas cuts Planned Parenthood from - CNNPolitics.com - 1 views

  •
A letter from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission Office of the Inspector General went out Monday to inform affiliates they are believed to be "no longer capable of performing medical services in a professionally competent, safe, legal, and ethical manner," according to a copy posted by The Dallas Morning News.
  •
this is very wrong, planned parenthood doesn't only do abortions. like it said in the article, planned parenthood does cancer screenings, HIV testing, birth control, and much more. only about 3% of planned parenthood services are abortions. if they're so against abortions, then shutting down planned parenthood isn't going to help, it will only lead to unsafe illegal abortions. they're contradicting themselves because planned parenthood provides birth control, and people would only get more abortions. they're not only hurting people who want abortions, but all of the other services too.

In a nutshell, here's why: Audio recordings surfaced last month of a sexually explicit conversation between Bentley and one of his aides, Rebekah Mason, originally from 2014. (More on that later) Both denied have a physical affair. Bentley and his wife divorced last year. Gov. Bentley has apologized and maintains he did nothing illegal.

I don't see why this is a problem he is single if he even did it in the first place

Great Mills High School shooting: Student gunman dead, two students injured - The Washi... - 6 views

  •
The trauma caused through school shootings is spreading across the whole country and it is honestly devastating. I wish that the resource officer wouldn't have had to shoot but I know he did what was best for the school and the other students in the school.

School shootings are very serious and have gotten worse over time. There has been many shootings to many this year and years before that. There may be something we need to do to make the school more safe so that no one has to get hurt and or die.
  •
Reading content like this is very traumatic. Students and teachers should be able to go to school without having to worry about someone coming into the school with a gun. I believe that schools should make an effort to make all schools safer. There have been too many school shootings in America and around the globe.
  •
I agree because we should feel safe at school and not have to worry about what might happen, school should honestly be the safest place you can go.

Texas bomber dead: Man blows himself up in dramatic standoff with FBI and police - 16 views

  •
He ended up waiting until at least one person got close and blew himself up, the officer that was close got thrown back. They have stated that they are not sure if other people were helping him so they will keep looking. I personally think that he didn't want to go to jail for what he had done so he did a suicide bombing.
  • ...3 more comments...
  •
Are they sure they have all the bombs? They mentioned in the article that there could be more bombs out there planted before he died, and what are they doing to find those. Also, did they have any other suspects? I wonder if there were others helping him or people who knew about it. I feel like the reason for the last bombing and the fact that it was a suicide bombing played into the fact that he knew he was going to get caught and didn't want to be put in jail.
  •
I agree with Darby, how do we know that is all the bombs? I think he probably had people helping him with this. They can't even say why he did it they had an idea it might have been a racial thing but they don't know I also agree about him doing a suicide bombing because he didn't want to go to jail
  •
I don't know why this bomber placed bombs in boxes seams strange to me
  •
In the article they say that the bomber pre-setup bombs that explode when people get near them. But the article also said that they thought the bomber was targeting races such as hispanic and african american. I don't understand how the bomber could be targeting a specific race when the bombs were set up ahead of time. The article also mentions that there still might be bombs that he planted before he died, so how can he be targeting a specific race?
  •
They did mention that there could be more bombs but i doubt there is. I think if there are other bombs out there then maybe it was more then a one man job.

North Korea's antique airplane could be its most dangerous weapon yet | Fox News - 3 views

This is a smart move on North Korea's part but also a mistake. With President Trump in office we are willing to fight and do what we must to maintain the lives we live today. Using these old planes set off all kinds of bad signs with them having "an incredibly low radar profile"
